Bonus Bet Session — Managing the Cost When No Bonus Bets Pay All Session
Most bonus bet sessions end without a significant payout. The Fire Bet board never reaches 4 unique points. The ATS resets shooter after shooter. The $1 Fire Bets and $5 ATS bets accumulate as quiet losses alongside the main session. Understanding what this looks like — and how to keep it from derailing the session — is as important as understanding the payout scenarios.
The Zero-Payout Session
Fifteen shooters. Fire Bet: zero reached 4 unique points. ATS: came close twice — once Small needed the 4, once Tall needed the 10. Both times the 7 came before the last number. Total bonus bets wagered: $6 per shooter × 15 = $90. Total paid: $0. Net bonus bet result: -$90 on the session.
The Pass Line Offset
The pass line matching the bonus bets does not prevent this loss — it offsets the come-out 7 cycle specifically. On 15 shooters, some number of come-out 7s occurred (typically 3-5 in a two-hour session). Those come-out wins at $6 each generated $18-$30 back, partially reducing the $90 bonus bet cost. Net bonus bet loss with pass line offset: closer to $60-$72. Still a negative session on the bonus bets, but the offset is real.
Keeping It in Perspective
A zero-payout bonus bet session is not a strategy failure — it is the expected outcome the majority of the time. The house edge on Fire Bets and ATS is real and meaningful. The bonus bets are an entertainment layer on top of the main session. When the main session ran well (pass line, place bets) and the bonus bets did not pay, the session can still be a net positive overall. Track them separately. Bluffin With Aces shows the zero-payout bonus bet sessions on YouTube alongside the sessions where the board filled — both outcomes are part of the picture.
