The Lay Bet Challenge — ATS One Off, Lay the Number, Document the Results

The lay bet challenge is not a standalone betting challenge like the pass line or place bet progressions. It is an ATS tracking challenge: play normal sessions with ATS bets active, and every time you get one number away from completing Small or Tall with a box number remaining, execute the lay hedge. Document every instance. Over time, the data shows how often the ATS completes versus how often the 7 comes — and what the lay hedge saved in each case.

The Challenge Rules

Play each session with $5 ATS bets active. When one number remains for Small or Tall and it is a box number: take all other bets down, lay that number for $50. Log the outcome: did the number hit (ATS won, lay lost $50), or did the 7 come (ATS lost, lay collected). Track the net result of every ATS-one-off situation across the session.

What You Are Measuring

How often does the ATS complete from one-off versus how often does the 7 come? And when the 7 does come, how much did the lay bet offset the lost bonus? Over 20-30 instances, the data tells you whether the $50 hedge is providing meaningful protection or whether the ATS typically completes anyway and the lay just cost $50 each time.

The All Variant

When one side is already won and you are one off the All, increase the lay to $100 or more. Track these separately — the All situations are rarer, the stakes are higher, and the sizing decision is different. Bluffin With Aces runs this challenge across multiple sessions on YouTube and logs every ATS one-off situation with the lay results documented.
